[VIDEO] Tina+John's Nature's Point on Lake Travis Wedding

natures point wedding videoTina and John had a very sweet wedding out at Nature’s Point. Photography was provided by Sweet Caroline Photography, one of our favorite photographers in Austin! With ceremony in the Garden, and the reception following on the deck over looking beautiful Lake Travis, Nature’s Point once again provided a dream wedding for the happy couple!

[VIDEO] PicFlips = Wedding Reception Hit!

The Wedding Theater isn’t just about wedding video and film, we are about what is new, fun, and cutting edge with weddings!  Over the weekend while filming Carrie and David’s fantastic T Bar M Resort Wedding, we ran into a couple of gals with PicFlips (iloveflipbooks.com). PicFlips are something new to us, but we loved them right from the beginning. First of all, the two girls working there were very friendly and helpful explaining what the product is, and second, it was so much fun! Basically this is a short, instantly gratifying 6-7 second animation of you and your friends. Step in front of the screen and goof around like you would in a photobooth, but come out and just over a minute later you will have your very own keepsake from the wedding – an old school animated movie! They had tons of signs and costume type fun adds to make each flip book unique. We liked FlipPic so much, we threw together our own little commercial for this blog so can see just how fun they are and we are going to use Carrie and Davids flip book from their wedding night in their trailer coming soon!

This was our flipbook from the night.

Peyronet Photography

peyronet photography wedding photographerSo as I’ve said before, here at The Wedding Theater, we frequently cross paths with different vendors, each with their own talent and trade.  Today I’d like to talk a little about Peyronet Photography.  Started by Michelle Peyronet Jones, Peyronet Photography offers more than just photographs.  It offers the peace of mind knowing that your pictures will come out great, no doubt!  Michelle is really skilled at what she does and truly knows how to capture the moment with her camera; not to mention, her upbeat attitude which helps make clients feel more comfortable while she’s taking their pictures.  When you do what you love, there’s no doubt that you’ll have fun on the job.texas best wedding photographertexas wedding photographer

Peyronet offers services for different occasions such as weddings, family photos, senior photos, corporate events, and more, all for a reasonably low price.  While looking through her photographs on her blog site, I noticed what had seemed like 5 minutes was actually 45!  All of her pictures are so unique and each set she does totally stands out from the next.  Based in the Dallas area, Peyronet Photography is available worldwide.  We have worked with her on more than one occasion and we highly recommend her to capture your wedding moments.  For more information about Peyronet Photography or if you just want to look at some great pictures, visit her blog at http://peyronetphotography.com/blog

2010 Austin Wedding Trends (2 of 10)

destination wedding videographerAnother big trend we are seeing from our brides is Austin being a big location for destination weddings. We have booked several clients from out of town, and even out of the country, in the last few months that are having their wedding here in Austin as a destination for their guests. Brides from New York, Seattle, Los Angeles, London, and even as far away as Africa have contacted us about wedding videography for their Austin destination wedding. One of the big appeals to Austin is obviously the weather. While it can get a little warm during the summer, the weather is almost always acceptable for outdoor weddings. Another great thing about Austin as a destination wedding location is that it is unique. There is a certain “feel” to Austin that just cant be found anywhere else in the world. If you have ever watched the sunset at the top of a hill overlooking Lake Travis or been out for a night out on 6th street, you know what I mean. Austin also has several wonderful venues to choose from for your wedding. No matter what your tastes and style are, you can find a place to fit your needs (and your budget!) From lakefront venues like Vintage Villas, Villa Antonia, and Nature’s Point to downtown locations like The Driskill, or even Hill Country style wedding venues like Old Glory Ranch and Red Corral Ranch, there is a wide selection of affordable options.

Stacie+Keaton @ Natures Point

Nature’s Point will take your breath away. When you drive down the path to the venue you simply don’t realize you are on the side of a cliff overlooking Lake Travis in all of its wonder. Stacie and Keaton had a wonderfully planned evening that didn’t have a single setback. We were able to film them from beginning to end of the night which makes for a great story on their DVD. This is their cinematic wedding trailer with a slight documentary feel to it. Enjoy
