[VIDEO] Jacey+Jason's CharDans Villa Tyler, TX Wedding
There couldn’t have been a better way for us to be introduced to our first wedding in Tyler,
Texas than at this gorgeous summer afternoon lakeside ceremony. Jacey and Jason are such a great couple and their love and creativity was visible throughout the ceremony as we looked around. On one side of the ceremony the seats were old church benches painted white, while the other was theater seating! Rich with antique elements, set against an afternoon sky at the CharDans Villa Resort on Lake Palestine, this event left us anxious to do another project out there. The reception was even more evident in its uniqueness with every single chair or couch in the place mismatched without a partner. This truly was a one-of-a-kind wedding!
Kindred Oaks: Texas Hill Country Wedding Venue

Forever Photography Studios
The thing I love most about Kindred Oaks is not just that it has space for both the wedding ceremony and the reception with a little bed & breakfast attached for a bride-groom overnight stay, but the people who run it. Located in Georgetown in the Texas Hill Country, southern hospitality has never been so prevalent in the whole wedding process as it was demonstrated here. The 11-acre wooded grounds are beautiful, the large pavilion just got a stunning Brazilian Ash wood floor makeover, and the gazebo in the back just got all new elegant chandeleirs. The people who run this place really know what they are doing. The husband and wife duo have 25 years of experience though the place has only been open for 8 (She was a wedding photographer and he ran a chain of nurseries so they know the little nuances that can really set a wedding apart).
In fact, because the weddings here are primarily outdoor, though they’ve only had rain on 5% of their weddings, they have a backup plan, or “Plan B” as they like to call it, so that you never have to cross your fingers and just hope for beautiful weather. They only allow one wedding per day so that the wedding party has all day to relax and hold their event without the added time constraints of regular venues, and they accommodate every season with fans for the summer and early fall, roll down glass walls and space heaters for the winter and early spring, and a fire place for the weather in between so you and your guests can appreciate the beauty of the Hill Country around you without being exposed to the ever changing Texas weather.
Austin Texas Wedding Venue: Smith Family Chapel

Jake Holt Photography
As a frequent guest of weddings, one of the most memorable aspects of the occasion is the ceremony location. For those wishing for an intimate, indoor wedding, the Smith Family Chapel in Austin, Texas is one of the most beautiful I have found. It has a capacity of an approximated 350 guests and services a variety of religious ceremonies from Hindu to Lutheran to Quaker weddings. A part of the Riverbend church on Capital of Texas Highway in Austin, the medium-sized chapel is a wedding favorite. That having been said, make sure that if this is the place for you, you book ahead of time: the church requires a reservation 18 months in advance and you must speak with the wedding coordinator, Bren Puryear, in order to confirm everything! The church provides a liaison between the wedding party and the event department, which all but guarantees the event will both run smoothly and be stunningly beautiful. With it’s tall tower, limestone walls and beautiful stained glass windows, this venue is magical and is sure to make your wedding ceremony truly memorable.
[VIDEO] The Pictures Band Austin TX Live Music Video

Ok, Ok, so every-now-and-then we like to turn things up a notch. If you are a fan of our blog, you already know our biggest recommendation for a band at your wedding is hands-down – THE PICTURES. These guys bring an energy, sound, and show like no other band we have ever worked with. I’ve heard Chris belting out Aretha and then right after that Byron sings a perfect George Strait (may be a little off here but you get the point!) Wedding entertainment is a must for your guests. What if it looked like this?
[VIDEO] Nicole + Steve's AT&T Conference Center Wedding Austin TX
Remember these two?
Well now their wedding has come and gone and you can see the conclusion to the beginning!
Nicole and Steve were one of our most adored couples. As we met with them to film the engagement session and interviewed them about each other, it was simple to see they are perfect for each other. This was our first adventure into the AT&T Conference Center and we loved it! The ballroom is vast and built for luxury. It had a very clean style, and Nicole, and Steve I’m sure
decorated with professional lighting, and elegant floral arrangements.
[VIDEO] Jennifer+Sean's Stephen F. Austin Wedding
This was our first adventure into the well known Stephen F. Austin InterContinental Hotel in downtown Austin. The ballroom was amazing (as you will see in this trailer) and the details Jennifer and Sean selected really turned out fabulous. The story you will hear behind how these two met also really great. It’s all here in this trailer, the newest from The Wedding Theater, “Jennifer+Sean”
[VIDEO] Natalie+Trent's Allan House Wedding

Sunflowers and boots could sum up the decor of their adorable southern wedding. Natalie is the new coordinator for the Allan House now, so make sure and give her a call if you are looking for a place for your wedding! Enjoy!
[VIDEO] How to Pop The Question
Conducting a routine Google search for “crazy marriage proposals” will lead you to some outrageous examples that may be too over-the-top (or cliché) to impress or even be appreciated at all by your bride-to-be (See: “Wedding Proposals Gone Wrong”). This is definitely not to say that you can’t go out on a limb and come up with a unique and memorable way to pop the question – you just have to remember that your proposal needs to be appropriate for your lady, whether she is the type that would prefer exciting theatrics, or whether she would appreciate a quieter more intimate approach. Of course, timing is also key; you don’t want to put your partner in an uncomfortable situation (let alone in public!) where you are going to be let down. Keep this in mind if you truly want to coordinate a romantic moment that will kick off your marriage on the right foot. Here are a few examples of one-of-a-kind proposals that apparently went over well:

Another unique idea is to use the medium of video as the proposal itself:
Here at The Wedding Theater, we would be thrilled to work with you to create a video that will document that special moment, something that could also later be incorporated into your final wedding video. Here’s one example of a marriage proposal we produced that was later used by the couple as a “Save the Date” video that could be sent out to wedding guests:

So if you are interested in creating a proposal video, contact us and we’ll do our best to help you document that special moment – and if you play your cards right, that moment will end with a “Yes!”

[VIDEO] Monica + Andy's Dallas Wedding
From time to time, The Wedding Theater will road trip out of Austin for a wedding somewhere around Texas! Dallas was the location of Monica and Andy’s holiday themed wedding. The cinematography of the reception is some of our best!
