Tina and John had a very sweet wedding out at Nature’s Point. Photography was provided by Sweet Caroline Photography, one of our favorite photographers in Austin! With ceremony in the Garden, and the reception following on the deck over looking beautiful Lake Travis, Nature’s Point once again provided a dream wedding for the happy couple!

Satisfying Catering Equals Satisfied Guests
I love food. Plain and simple. But most importantly I love good food AND so do all the people that will attend your wedding. Luckily, Austin offers a wide variety of places to eat, and places to cater for your wedding. This month’s addition of Austin Wedding Day has a few adds that mention some of Austin’s finest dinning and a wide array of options for food on your wedding day or rehearsal dinner.
Here are just a few good places mentioned in their magazine:
Abuelo’s—they do rehearsal dinners, and in my opinion have great Mexican food!
Eddie V’s—located off of 4th street, they are a great fine dining place for your rehearsal dinner
Chez Zee—they do it all! Weddings and receptions, rehearsal dinners and even engagement parties
The County Line—if you like Bar-B-Q you can’t go wrong with this place
Andiamo Ristorante—for fine authentic Italian food try this!
Las Palomas—another great place for Mexican food
Cannoli Joe’s—more Italian food
The Salt Lick—fantastic Bar-B-Q
Steiner Ranch Steakhouse—if you like steak, you’ll be thankful for Steiner Ranch
Palmer’s–a Hill Country type cuisine
There are many more places around Austin that are good for catering or rehearsal dinners! Remember, your guests want to be fed well!
2010 Austin Wedding Trends (2 of 10)
Another big trend we are seeing from our brides is Austin being a big location for destination weddings. We have booked several clients from out of town, and even out of the country, in the last few months that are having their wedding here in Austin as a destination for their guests. Brides from New York, Seattle, Los Angeles, London, and even as far away as Africa have contacted us about wedding videography for their Austin destination wedding. One of the big appeals to Austin is obviously the weather. While it can get a little warm during the summer, the weather is almost always acceptable for outdoor weddings. Another great thing about Austin as a destination wedding location is that it is unique. There is a certain “feel” to Austin that just cant be found anywhere else in the world. If you have ever watched the sunset at the top of a hill overlooking Lake Travis or been out for a night out on 6th street, you know what I mean. Austin also has several wonderful venues to choose from for your wedding. No matter what your tastes and style are, you can find a place to fit your needs (and your budget!) From lakefront venues like Vintage Villas, Villa Antonia, and Nature’s Point to downtown locations like The Driskill, or even Hill Country style wedding venues like Old Glory Ranch and Red Corral Ranch, there is a wide selection of affordable options.
Stacie+Keaton @ Natures Point
Nature’s Point will take your breath away. When you drive down the path to the venue you simply don’t realize you are on the side of a cliff overlooking Lake Travis in all of its wonder. Stacie and Keaton had a wonderfully planned evening that didn’t have a single setback. We were able to film them from beginning to end of the night which makes for a great story on their DVD. This is their cinematic wedding trailer with a slight documentary feel to it. Enjoy
